Low Impact Exercise Class

Mondays and Wednesdays 1:30-3:00 PM Ongoing Classes
This program is a community-based, non-clinical group exercise program to help those who have joint and/or muscle problems achieve improved joint mobility, muscle strength and endurance in order to improve the performance of their daily activities.
The classes are offered by certified instructors in partnership with their local Arthritis Foundation chapter as an ongoing class in 8 week sessions. Program is also recommended for those with fibromyalgia.
Classes consist of:
Exercise - including stretching or range of motion exercises, strengthening exercises and endurance routines.
Health Education - providing up to date information about arthritis self-management and exercise.
Movement Activities - to promote social interaction, movement, balance and body awareness.
Relaxation Exercises - to introduce and practice various stress management techniques for pain and stress reduction.

All exercise equipment and supplies are included.

Fee is $15.00 per month or $2.00 per class. First class is free.
The Self-Help Training Program is also offered once a year for self-care management, a two hour session once weekly for 6 weeks.
